We also have a Team page with even more ways to contact us. If you are part of the Dolphin community, you can check out our dedicated forum thread. You can chat with us on Discord or write us an issue on Github. You will find different ways to contact us just below. As we modified the emulator, it is better to ask us directly.
Just install the 圆4 version of the Visual C++ redistributable. If it doesn’t work, you might need to check if your GPU control panel is forcing VSync and disable it. But you can hold the TAB key to speed up the game at any time. You can’t do that in the Gamecube version. Please note that if you have the “ Prefetch Custom Textures” option activated, the textures will have to be reloaded entirely again. You can turn the pack on and off while playing with the DELETE key. You need to restart the game and wait for a bit for the change to take effect. If you are experiencing noticeable performance hiccups and slowdowns when the background changes or when you open the inventory, try this on Dolphin: Open the “Graphics” menu, go to the “Advanced” tab and, in the “Utility” section, turn on the the “ Prefetch Custom Textures” option. The sources of our custom Dolphin build are available on Github if you want to try to build it yourself: Dolphin RESHDP edition
There are already pre-packaged builds for Android and Linux available on our Discord server.
Sadly no… As far as we know there is no community patch for RE3 that would potentially allow us to replace the original textures with upscaled ones. Yes but the pack was made with the US (NTSC) version in mind thus some texts and 3d models will not be upscaled. We have no way around these billions different textures… The textures dumped by Dolphin are generated on the fly for every inventory combinations possible. We solved most problems but for the items displayed in the inventory and the item box, it’s just impossible. Replacing RE3’s textures using Dolphin happens to be very challenging. If you can’t open the zip file, you might need to download and use 7Zip.
All you have to do is to extract the Zip file, open Dolphin.exe, select the folder containing your game ISO, configure the controller if needed and play! We don’t provide the game ISO and we will not help you to find one. To use it at the same time as SpecialK, rename it to "fpsfix. Our pack includes a custom version of Dolphin (a Gamecube emulator).
There is a mod to increase performance here: Apparently the game was using certain D3D API calls excessively/unnecessarily, and the mod fixes that. This plug-in will skip the door animations:.Not sure why it did not originally, but setting this avoids a mode switch. EDIT: 3440x1440 native is working fine for me now. I recommend sticking to 16:9 resolutions. The game will support higher resolutions if you set them via the config file in "%LOCALAPPDATA%\CAPCOM\Resident Evil - REMASTER\". The game only supports up to 2560x1440 officially, but even that was not an option on my 3440x1440 monitor for some reason it only went up to 1920x1200.Having SpecialK hide the cursor fixed that. If you have a G-Sync monitor, I found that the game's mouse cursor was preventing it from activating. The game sets it to 60Hz, but will run at up to 120 FPS if your refresh rate is higher (or if V-Sync is disabled). If you have a high refresh rate monitor you will need to use the SpecialK mod to override the game's refresh rate (I used 0.9.24).In the remaster, some of the music tracks apparently play at the wrong speed.I was hoping that someone would do this, and I'm disappointed that I have played through about 2/3 of the game in its original state prior to RE2's release.įor anyone thinking about playing this, there are a number of other mods/tweaks that I recommend: Going to play some more and hopefully complete the game. But for now modded up REmake feels like the best way to experience the game on PC.ĮDIT: I am currently in the Guest House (I think, that's what I've always referred to it as since RE1) behind the mansion so I'll probably post a few more screenshots of new areas and maybe a few I missed in the Mansion if they look nice. Seeing how washed out the colors are in the REmaster version is crazy to me and what I love the most replaying the game currently.īunny's project really looks like it's going to be the perfect way to play and hopefully simplest once it's completed. I find the increase in detail in the areas the AIscaled images improves worth the tradeoff of the grime that some people prefer.īut really I feel like Reshade is a must for this game. I do feel like there are positives and negatives to the AI scaled images but the REmastered backgrounds are also deeply flawed. In this case the REmastered version is not really the Orginal at all I know plenty of people prefer to play the the GC original/emulate that version for that reason.
